Southside native Darryl Jones debuts his own soulful roots rock to a hometown crowd, showcasing original songs and old favorites and backed by stellar line up including Bobby Sparks(Snarky Puppy),Toby Williams,Nikolas Tremulus,Baabe Irving and others. Jones’ remarkable three-decade touring and recording career started in ’83 with jazz icon Miles Davis. Stints with Sting, Herbie Hancock, Peter Gabriel, Madonna, Eric Clapton, and more followed, and since ‘94 he’s been the bassist for the Rolling Stones. Playing alongside such diverse, legendary artists provided profound musical insight and has inspired his unique sound. The show at The Promontory in Chicago on Friday, Nov. 10 will be filmed for a documentary film.
